"Bodyguard" in a political war zone. Amira, a young American-educated Muslim woman, and Brad, an American peacekeeping soldier with anti-Muslim prejudices, fight, flee “ethnic-cleansing” Serb militias in the mountain forests of present-day Bosnia. Nonstop action and suspense – mixed-culture romance. Amira twice passes herself off as a Serb, once posing as a militia member and mingling with her potential rapists and murderers. Desa, the daughter of a militia leader, tries to help Amira and Brad reach American rescuers. High finisher in two important screenwriting competitions.

NOTE: Violence throughout, although not graphic. Some nudity, sexual situations. While the most offensive word is absent, the villains speak crudely throughout. Threat of rape and torture.
