Brave Animal
Brave Animal
By Tom and Jerry Patterson
"A great family movie yet unmade."
To tell you about this script, we quote Catherine D., the judge in the 2001 Final Draft International Screenwriting Competition who rated it excellent or very good in every category, and said, "The forest creatures and their champion, Joseph, band together to stop a housing development in Minnesota. This was such fun to read. The revenge of the animals and the Indian cultural overlay of the story were wonderful. This is such a simple idea, but told in a very appealing way. The characters are terrific … The villains are perfect … And using Jesse Ventura is a great idea. The choices of animals and their behaviors are excellent.”

ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Brothers Tom and Jerry Patterson are both journalism graduates of the University of Minnesota, published writers and former corporate editors. Between them they have written hundreds of nonfiction articles for national and international publications. This joint project is their first venture together into fiction.
NOTE: While this is a family friendly script with broad appeal to both children and adults, a few animals are killed, which could be disturbing to very young children. Language is appropriate for almost anyone old enough to read it. A very few mildly offensive words are used, but an adult reading to young children can easily edit them as they read, if they so choose. Parents of young children could read the script through themselves first to judge appropriateness for their own children.
